At BlueSKY, our Chartered financial planners are supported by five “technical experts” (we call them “paraplanners”).

Our paraplanners have an interesting and varied set of responsibilities, including:

• Preparing client reports
• Researching products, funds, and providers
• Carrying out administrative tasks, including submitting for new business and follow-up tasks
• Producing investment valuations
• Creating cashflow models
• Completing their own training and continued professional development (CPD).

It’s an absolutely critical role in the business, as it enables our Chartered planners to do what they do best – meet clients and provide the highest quality bespoke advice we can.

Earlier this year, you met Nicola, who has joined the BlueSKY team to look after our growing team of paraplanners.

Nicola’s role is to manage the workload of the team, to support the paraplanners’ individual development, and to oversee the vital work our technical team do. And now, the size of her team has grown by one!

Meet Natasha, our new trainee paraplanner

Natasha has joined the BlueSKY team as a trainee paraplanner. Having spent the last two years working at an independent financial planner, she has now joined BlueSKY to continue her development and, as she says, “to learn from the best”!

Her passion to pursue a career in financial services was ignited after achieving her Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP) and she is now studying for her Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.

When not supporting our Chartered planners, Natasha loves drawing, painting – “anything creative, really!” – and has recently discovered digital art. On the weekends she spends most of her time doodling and creating digital artwork no one gets to see.

In between art and work she also enjoys attending gym classes (semi-regularly), hanging out with family and friends, and going on holiday – and she claims she is looking forward to adding studying to her daily routine!

She says she would describe herself as “a bit of a movie geek” and loves anything related to Star Wars.

We’re delighted to welcome Natasha to the team, and so far she has proved to be an excellent padawan! Our job is now to prevent her turning to the dark side…
