This week, VouchedFor have released their Top Rated Guide for 2022. We’re delighted to announce that we’ve been included as a Top Rated Firm!
The guide, distributed by The Times, aims to identify and celebrate the UK’s best financial advice firms, all based on client feedback. We couldn’t be prouder to have been selected in this group.
To be included in the guide is a huge honour, as only 53 firms qualified throughout the UK. We’re even more proud to say that we’re the only Top Rated firm in Reading and Berkshire.
What is VouchedFor?
For those of you who may not have heard of VouchedFor, it’s an online system created to review financial advisers and planners. It’s just like TripAdvisor, but for financial advisers.
In the main, reviews are completed by clients as people who have first-hand experience can provide accurate feedback. Reviews are based on three key criteria:
- Service
- Advice given
- Value
These criteria are then used to create an overall score out of five stars for each and every adviser. This also creates an overall score for firms.

Not only have we qualified as a Top Rated Firm, but we’re excited to announce that three of our planners have been included as Top Rated Advisers. To be included is a fantastic moment of recognition for them and everything they do to support our clients.

Meet Nicola, our new head of paraplanning
At BlueSKY, our Top Rated, Chartered financial planners are supported by five “technical experts” (we call them paraplanners).
Our paraplanners help us to:
- Prepare client reports
- Produce valuations
- Create cashflow models.
They provide valuable analysis and input into the creation of every financial plan and, as such, help us to ensure the advice we provide is always appropriate.
Nicola has joined BlueSKY to manage our growing team of paraplanners. Her role will be to manage the workload of the team, to support their individual development, and to oversee the vital work our technical team do. She will report to the directors.
We asked Nicola to tell us a little bit more about herself, and her background.
“I have worked in financial services for more than 20 years, starting at Prudential and from there working in a paraplanning role for a variety of financial advisers based in the Thames Valley. This included heading up a team of 12 paraplanners for one company that I worked for.
“At BlueSKY, I’ll be managing the team of paraplanners to enable BlueSKY to continue to provide exceptional customer service, and to ensure standards are maintained.
“I’m looking forward to working with a great team of people and making a real contribution to the wider business. I want to help the members of the paraplanning team reach their potential and support their ongoing development and study – as well as coming up with ideas to help the team perform even better!
“Outside of work I like spending time with friends and family, cooking, and reading. I do quite like a barbie in the summer! I cook generally everything except Thai – I’m not a fan of lemongrass and Thai basil.
“I also enjoy reading. Most of the books I read are nerdy non-fiction – historical or behavioural economics, or cookbooks.”
We’re delighted that Nicola has joined the team, and are looking forward to reaping the benefits of her wide experience.
