Our FCA number is 914561.

What are the key cities, towns, and areas you work with clients in?

Working together

How can I book an initial meeting?

Just phone or email the office, and one of the team will speak with you to find out more about your enquiry and your financial position.

Do I have to pay for an initial meeting?

A first meeting is at our cost, but our initial telephone conversation will reveal whether having a first meeting would be of mutual benefit.

What do I need to bring to an initial meeting?

In preparation for our initial meeting, we’ll ask for information in advance. This is so that we can hit the ground running, and also allows us to fully demonstrate our financial planning software.

What happens in the first meeting?

Essentially, it’s a “discovery meeting” where, most importantly, we find out the things you wish to achieve by working with a financial planner. You can also ask us questions to ensure that we can do the things you need us to do for you.

How long should I allow for an initial meeting?

Two hours maximum.

Do I have to sign up to your services at an initial meeting?

No. Beyond the initial meeting, if there’s mutual benefit in working together, we’ll send you the relevant engagement documentation.

Do you have a female adviser or planner I can work with?

Not currently.

What happens if my financial planner is away on holiday?

The service at Bluesky is very much a team effort. Should you need to discuss your situation urgently, one of our other financial planners would be happy to take your call.

How often will I hear from my financial adviser or planner?

The one fixed point in the calendar is an annual review meeting. But in between these, you’ll receive our monthly newsletters, and further meetings can be arranged at no extra cost should they be required.

Do you offer cashflow forecasting or planning as part of your service?

Yes, this is at the core of the way we work with clients.

What happens if my circumstances change?

We’d have a meeting to discuss your new circumstances and make decisions from there.

Can you work alongside my accountant or solicitor?

Yes, we commonly work with other professionals and can refer you to other professionals if needs be.

Can you coordinate with my mortgage adviser if they need information from you?

Yes, we can.

What happens if my adviser leaves the firm?

You’re a client of Bluesky, so one of our other advisers would be appointed as your new point of contact. All of the advisers at Bluesky follow the same approach – the Bluesky way – as opposed to all advisers having their own pet providers and funds.

Can I see an example of a financial plan?

Yes, this can be made available on request.

Will I be able to see the value of my investments online?

Yes, you’ll have access to the provider that we believe is best suited to your circumstances.

Do you provide an online portal for clients to view their investments?

Not currently, but we may decide to do so in the future.

How often will I meet with my adviser or planner?

At least once a year, but ad hoc meetings are available on request and aren’t charged for.
