Suzanne:
I’m Suzanne, and this is Peter. We’ve been clients of Mark at BlueSKY for approximately five years.

Peter:
I got in touch with Mark back in 2016, because I’d been a long-term client of one of the private banks, and I’d become disillusioned with the service I was getting. I didn’t feel it was personal to my needs. So, we looked at a number of advisers, and actually went and met them all. For us, Mark really stood out as somebody who we felt comfortable with. We liked his approach, he spoke our language and there was a real connection and understanding of our needs, right from the very start. So, we went ahead with BlueSKY.

Suzanne:
Looking back over the five years that we’ve been with Mark, it’s absolutely clear it was the right decision. He looked at our financial positions, gave us a clear plan, assessed our level of risk, and assessed the products that were suitable for us. We’ve seen some very good returns on all the products that he’s invested us in.

I think the other thing, given that we’ve been through 18 months of a pandemic, is that our investments have protected us in a way that perhaps we were a bit surprised by. We’ve been really impressed by how our finances have been able to weather the storm of the last 18 months.

Peter:
When I was with the private bank, I felt like a very small cog in their service and in their portfolio. I really became very unsatisfied with the interaction and contact, it was like they were staring over the top of me all the time, rather than looking down to my level. But Mark has been just completely different. It’s been a very personal, direct relationship, and one that we really value and enjoy. He is a great guy to do business with.

Something else I think that really has come through my experience of Mark is that I know if anything happens to me, Susie has a good relationship with Mark. She would be able to turn to him and be assured that he would give her the full service he has to me. I didn’t have that before with the bank – they wanted to focus on me, and struggled to include Susie in that process. Mark’s given us an all-encompassing service that we’re very comfortable with. We regard him as a friend, which is great to say for a financial adviser.

One other thing is that we deal, first and foremost, with Mark. But the rest of the team are always on the end of the phone, and always come back to you when they say they’re will. They always deliver the documentation and it’s always comprehensive. They also deal with the investment company on our behalf. Their service meets our expectations every time, and there aren’t many organisations who you don’t have to chase at some point. We haven’t had to do that with BlueSKY – they’ve been absolutely great across the team.

Suzanne:
If I were to describe Mark and BlueSKY in three words, they would probably be “professional”, “good listeners” and “skilled”.

Peter:
The best thing about working with BlueSKY and Mark is the clarity of the models and explanations that he brings to us as he takes us through them. I also like the day-to-day access that I have to the information, so that I can monitor it whenever I choose. This enormous visibility is very reassuring.

Suzanne:
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend BlueSKY to other people. They are an honorable organisation and very professional, knowledgeable and skilled. They’re also extremely supportive.
