Towards the end of 2019, our commitment to the highest levels of service, advice and support were recognised by New Model Adviser. The professional publication named BlueSKY as one of the UK’s top 100 financial planning firms, highlighting the hard work and commitment of the whole team.
Back in November, New Model Adviser said: “BlueSKY Chartered Financial Planning has worked hard to improve itself in the last year…the business has turned its client journey on its head and rebuilt its processes to give support and insight to clients much more consistently.”
Following on from this recognition, we’re thrilled to report that we have been shortlisted for another prestigious industry award.
BlueSKY shortlisted for prestigious advice award
Each year, the Money Marketing awards celebrate the very best providers in the financial planning sector. At last year’s ceremony, well-known names from Royal London to VitalityLife were award-winners – and this year it could be BlueSKY among the victors!
We have been shortlisted in the ‘Small Advice Firm of the Year’ category, which seeks to recognise the work of smaller financial planners across the country. The nomination acknowledges that, from our Chartered status to our bespoke, independent service, we strive hard to offer something that you simply wouldn’t get from any other financial planning firm.
To be included on a shortlist of the best six small advice firms in the UK is testament to the superb service that the team offers, and recognition of the initiatives we took in 2019 to grow our business, improve our service, and make a positive contribution to both our clients and the wider community.
Highlights of 2019 that led to this nomination include:
- Our long-held reputation with solicitors as a pension sharing expert. Our Resolution-accredited specialists (two of just 27 nationally) delivered training to individual law firms and ran workshops, seminars and roadshows to explain the benefits of financial planning on divorce.
- We have a strong team ethos, with all our team contributing to initiatives to grow the business. We support the career development of our team, with our paraplanner, Jack, achieving Diploma status in 2019. Our team are also closely involved in initiatives to improve our service and client offering.
- We increased our client base, offering high-quality Chartered advice to more new clients. We also doubled our website traffic in 2019.
Having been shortlisted from a long list of entries by a panel of expert judges, the next stage for us is to attend a video interview with the judging panel. After this interview, they will choose who, in their view, is the best small advice firm in the country.
The awards ceremony
In other years, nominees for a Money Marketing award would have been invited to a black-tie ceremony in London, where the winner would collect their award.
Of course, the Covid-19 situation means that the live event element of this year’s Money Marketing awards has been cancelled. However, the awards team believe that it is important to recognise the amazing work the advice profession does day in, day out for clients, and so all elements of the adjudication process, involving over 50 industry judges, will continue remotely.
Instead of a formal ceremony, all the 2020 winners will be announced live in a special broadcast from Money Marketing TV, which can also be followed live on social media.
We’ll share more details of this occasion when we have them – and will keep our fingers crossed until then!
